First, the new client - Let's call him John Client. In BTPro, you will go to
the Consignors (Client) screen - either thru the menu option, View>Consignors,
thru the keyboard shortcut, Ctrl+F6 or by clicking on the Consignors icon near
the top/middle of the BTPro window:



This opens the Consignors view:

We have been using Blackthorne for less than a month and we have some issues. In fact, just today several screwy things have happened. We think we might be figuring out why in some instances and not in others. For example, today 2 people were working on listings on 2 different computers and there work merged into 1 listing. Also, we have tried to upload some listings several times and they still aren't going to ebay and we can't figure out why.

Are any of you currently doing consigments?

To create a new consignor/client, click on the link for New Consignor
at top/right of the BTPro screen. A new, blank record opens. This is the detail
of that record:

Add all the contact info of your client. Here is a sample of the info I enter
into the client record. (This is split into 2 sections for easier viewing.)

If the client had a title at a client company, of course I would enter that.
The same with the Web Address. We issue our own client account number for accounting
purposes - you may or may not do the same. In the above sample, I selected the
default consignment plan I've already set up. We will get into entering consignment
plans shortly. If you have additional information you want to include about
the client, you may enter that info into one of the custom fields.

To enter the client's mailing address, you will click on the Edit
button to the right of the Default Mailing Address field. That opens this window:



When you click the OK button, this address info is put into the
client record.

You may have set up your consignment plans when you entered the set-up info
into BTPro when you first started using it. If not, or if you have any new plans
to enter, you may do so by going to Tools>Options>Consignment Plans.
