1. Hi, I am Joyceb/danse Today we are going to take a look at your MY EBAY page. If you aren’t familiar with it, now is the time to take a look and click through on the links. My eBay is your best friend on the eBay site.

I feel it is one of the best thing eBay has done for us as Buyers and Sellers.

For those of us who have been around a few years, we remember having to print off auctions and keep them bookmarked so you could leave feedback.

eBay has made keeping track of everything we eBay so much easier since they gave each new registered user their own personal My eBay page. Virtually everything you need to know about your eBay transactions are on My eBay. So let’s take a look and find all the great ways it makes your life easier.

I am an eBay Education Specialist

I have been on eBay since 1996 as a buyer and began selling in June of 1998. I was a Power Seller in 1998 and 1999 and keeping track of feedback and auctions wasn’t fun, I still have hard copies of all the auctions from those days. No longer is that necessary and that’s the great thing about My eBay, it’s all right there and you can do all your eBay business from there.

2. You can access My eBay from the top navigation bar of any eBay Page. I suggest you download the eBay Toolbar to make it even easier to find. With the toolbar it is always right at your fingertips.

Remember anytime you see blue underlined text these are eBay information links that explain the option you are about to use. It is a good idea to take a few minutes to read them if you have an questions about the function or application you are about to use.

3. When you click on My eBay you will be asked to log in using your eBay user name and password. However if you are a guest you can access a Guest My eBay page and watch up to 10 items without having an eBay user name.

5. The toolbar on the left also gives instant information about these topics, so you can easily see the status of your transactions:
My Summary gives you a look at all transactions and is the link to the Summary page you are on.
The first category is All Buying where you will see numbered links below it - the numbers indicates how many transactions you have in each category.
For example if there is a (2) after Watching, that means you are watching two items. If you have a (6) after Bidding, that means you are bidding on 6 items.
By clicking and looking at the detailed information you can check and complete all transactions from your my eBay Page, including paying for your item, printing shipping labels, and leaving feedback.

The same is true of the All Selling links. If you are a seller this make watching, invoicing and feedback a snap.
You can print shipping labels, make notations about your auctions and if you have problems you can even access the Dispute Console from here with all your information at your fingertips.
You can re-list and make a Second Chance Offer from here too.

6. Personalized Picks is a new link for My eBay

If you have purchased an item recently, when you click on Personalized Picks, you will find more similar items targeted to your keyword search.

So if you didn’t win your auction the first time or need a duplicate item perhaps one of these will fit the bill.

7. Another new offering in your My eBay page is the My Message center.

Link ">

The special function of My Message center is for eBay to eBay member communication.

In an effort to make eBay more secure and you will now find Account information, Customer support, and Member to Member communication (email) in your Message Center

All your eBay messages will now show up in your My Message center.
You have the ability to store emails in folders you create. And you can customize it.

You will also find Account Alerts (which is designed to protect you against spoof/fake emails). If you receive a regular email about your eBay account, you can check immediately in your My Message, center and if it doesn’t show up in there, you know it’s a fake.

Or as eBay puts it, ”Bottom Line, if an email affects your eBay account, it’s in My Messages

8. eBay works hard to keep your My eBay a personal world created just to make your eBay life simpler, safer and more interesting.

Another of those innovations is the All Favorites category.
As you check out auctions, you may find you often look in one category over and over again. (I know I do), I’m always checking out Dept 56 North Pole.
Now I can save that category and easily click it in My eBay page for instant access. Same is true of favorite Sellers and Categories. If you notice when you type in key words and bring up a category page, you have the option of adding it to your Add to Favorites link on the upper right of your page.

9. In my offlineworkshops a lot of people ask me, “can I change my user name? Password? Create and edit my About Me page? Credit card and checking account information?”

I tell them yes, Go to My eBay page and then to the My Account and click on the link indicated:.
