Please join Sara Taheri and Denise Hogue from Terapeak Marketplace Research for a gentle and fun introduction to how you can put market research to practice and increase your profitability on eBay. You stated earlier that a two week trial is available what is the link to that? It sounds interesting and I would like to try it.

I have tried ebay research engine in the past and wasn't impressed with the results. I would like to find one that is efficient but doesn't cost me more then I make on sales.

I think the support is fabulous! You'll often end up with help from myself or one of my other colleagues - we like to keep in close touch with our customers so we can design the site for our users!

our help is available by phone, email, there's a feedback forum, etc.

I have been in retail my whole life. If I am going to be running a profitable operation, wanting to learn from people that are doing it right makes sence. I don't want to reinvent the wheel. I have been buying for a year. I am ready to sell and really like this system. I have been logging and doing my own research the hard way. Thank you for giving me some good options. L

i too am a retail lifer! that's how i came to terapeak!

it is a really good research tool - and it allows you to do store comparison type research in a market (online) that could be very isolated.

I think that's great. Your customers ARE your business. Showing a willingness to adapt to their needs is KEY.
What about reports? Does Terapeak offer options to save/print the research data? It may help when on the hunt for a product, and also the actual follow through for your particular item sale... thanks

What suggestions do you have for items that don't show any research results? Everyonce in awhile I come up with an item that is so rare and unusaull nothing shows up in past ebay sales.

the site does offer options to save or export (to csv) data.
and it's pretty much as easy as pressing a button.

we do adapt - a lot! i would guess our site is tweaked weekly! it's like a living thing, always growing and improving!

it's true, there are items sometimes that are really unique, and don't pop up in an initial search of 30 days. with our tool, you can go back 90 days. if no items have sold within 90 days, you may have to come up with a similar product or one that may have the same sort of consumer. it would be a bit more "leg" work, but valuable info.

Is it possible to search the Top Sellers in a category for more than one week? When I try to make it 30 days it doesn't work.
