I need to report you! For being entirely too charming!

Another question: time of ending of auction appears to be very important, depending on the article sold. Again, is there a rule of thumb for end-of-auction for "in demand" items that are likely to be sniped?

Vince
P.S. Thank you very much.

Hello edsurfin, Thanks for your question. You said: "Hi Dierdre and Jen, Jen Can Hammertap tell me when to list an electric guitar I want to sell that should close (I hope 4 to 5 hundred) verses another I MUST sell that should close closer to 2000? It's Christmas, don't hesitate with details, LOL Thank You, Ed P.S. Deirdre you are the best Workshop moderator on Earth! " I researched the Gibson ES 137. None had the bullion gold though, but a lot had the hard shell cases. My HammerTap research tells me the following about how your product did on the eBay marketplace over the past 30 days: Overall Listing Success Rate (LSR): 78% Overall Average Selling Price (ASP): $1180 The start day for best chance of selling: Thursday The best duration for the best sales price: 7 days I also glanced at the research for the PRS and there are a lot more people selling those. The average sale price was $333 and the success rate was 81%. The best start day was Saturday. Thanks for your request. HI Vince,

Ha ha, it's nice to have some fun in these workshops!

You asked, "Time of ending of auction appears to be very important, depending on the article sold. Again, is there a rule of thumb for end-of-auction for "in demand" items that are likely to be sniped?"

Yes, the ending day and time are very important, however, there is no general rule of thumb for any "best time and day" for any products because each product and category are so different. Whether buyers are using sniping tools or not, the research will clearly tell you the best day and time to end that will make you the most money for your product.

High demand items will still have a best time and day to end, and HammerTap will give you those results, whether or not the auction is sniped.

Thanks for a great question!
