Thank you for joining our online workshop for Selling with Best Offer.

My name is Sohil Gilani and I am a Product Manager on the Buyer Experience team.

During today’s workshop we’ll discuss how to sell an item using Best Offer and some of its key features.

I will also share some the latest enhancements to Best Offer. This includes “Auto Accept” for sellers.

Then, we’ll open up the forum for any questions you may have.

Let’s jump right into how you can use this feature on all your fixed price listings.

1. This feature is completely free.
2. It is available for all Fixed Price items on a per listing basis. You can opt into this feature at the time of creating your listing.
(The option is not available for auction listing.)

3. Sellers need to meet the following criteria to list with Best Offer

a. For Single Quantity listings: Feedback rating of 10+ or ID Verified
b. For Multiple Quantity listings: Feedback of 30+ or ID Verified
AND
c. Seller must be a registered user for at least 14 days

Step 2: Select Best Offer

At the time of setting the Buy It Now price for your item, you can opt into Best Offer as per the screen shot below.

And here’s how the limits work

Auto Decline Limit
If set, all offers below the limit will be automatically declined.
e.g. If auto decline is set to $350, all offers of $349.99 and under will be declined.
This feature eliminates the need to entertain low ball offers. Buyer will know upfront that their offer has been declined and they will be given an option to make another higher offer.


Auto Accept Limit
This is our latest enhancement for Best Offer.
You can now set the amount at which you are willing to sell the item. All incoming offers at or above this limit will be automatically accepted.
e.g. If auto accept is set to $450, all offers of $450 and above will be accepted and the item thus sold to the user who made the offer. You may now complete the sale as you would normally do for a item sold via Fixed Price.

This feature allows sellers with to accept reasonable offers without any additional work.
Also, it enables sellers to accept reasonable offers that are received towards the end of an item and the sellers may not be around to accept them. This thus prevents the loss of sales!

Note: If the buyer has entered some additional terms while making the offer, the same will not be automatically accepted, immaterial of the offer amount.
This is to protect sellers who may end up accepting offers that may have unreasonable terms attached to the offer.
All offers with additional terms will have to be manually reviewed and responded to.

As I mentioned earlier, Best offer items also have added visibility.

Here’s how your item looks on the Browse & Search results pages.

Buyer now make offers from the item page as needed.
