It is very important that all sellers with non-paying bidders file unpaid item disputes if payment is not received from buyers. Since negative feedback can no longer be left for buyers who do not pay to warn other sellers, filing an unpaid item dispute has become more import than ever. Well before listing ended a buyer wrote requesting a non-priority shipping method to save cost. Insisted all his sellers accomodated this request. I politely informed him that I simply do not have the packing materials (box size, etc) to meet his request, that it would need to remain priority as stated in the listing. This isn't the first time. PayPal is holding payment for an item I sold for up to 21 days. The buyer received the item more than a week ago. I politely asked the buyer to leave feedback so that PayPal would release the payment hold. I had stopped selling on ebay for about 6 months and then decided I could use a little extra Xmas cash. I started selling again. OUCH! Sold a VERY heavy item on another ID and now paypal is holding $450 cash for "up to 21 days". I used to recommend ebay to anyone and everyone I talked to. A buyer just left me positive feedback and for the message said it was a "good deal A, although paid immediately doesn't leave feeback until buyer does F" he made my communication dsr go from 4.8 to 4.6 as well. I dont think he realizes that most sellers wait to give feedback after the buyers does for protection.

With as many items as I'm listing I'm thinking of using the automated relisting feature for auctions. Of course trying to find if there's any reduction in listing fees on ebays help(less) area is non existant. So anyone know if there's a cost savings if this feature is used. Thanks

I have a messy transaction. I listed a product and in the listing I said "PayPal only" On 11/17, the buyer asks if I would do local pick up. I said no, the listing was updated automatically. On 11/21, the buyer bids and wins. On 11/22, the buyer asks to do local pick up and pay with cash. I said no. The buyer does me a favor and pays with paypal and says he will leave negative feedback. I have read the posts about sellers receiving the email about 50% off insertion fees only to receive another mail saying it was a mistake and there would NOT bee the 50% off. In my buying experience on eBay I frequently saw the sellers' explanations of the star ratings, and, in particular, how the eBay administration does not, in fact, think of 4 stars as "good" and uses it as grounds for account suspension. I posted item 330380219982 about 2 days ago. As of yet, when I search, it never comes up in the results. I searched numerous times and in many different variables. Nothing. I recently sold a computer and the buyer paid right away I mailed it out and after I sent him conf of delivery he THEN asked me if the screen was good how would I know if it didn't turn on and other questions about it etc. Sounds like now he doesn't want it. This is my first attempt at selling this car on eBay Motors. After listing the item, I had several potential buyers message me asking what the reserve was on the vehicle and I declined to answer the question. First question is: Was that wrong of me? To who's advantage is it that I now have to list my items 10% higher "Buy it Now" than the starting price.... The big sellers, those sellers who list and sell for nickles on the dollar... My niche depends on a tight margin for profit and a certain amount of impulse. Given the financial climate these days that 10% is putting me out of business here

So when I see someone selling a download or emailed item that is not in the classified section I report it. I don't want someone breaking the rules to have an advantage over me. I sold an item (BIN, purse and wallet) which were in excellent condition. You could take these items to any store where these items are sold and ANY worker in that store would tell you, they are, indeed, in excellent condition. The buyer wants her money back due to the fact that the items were not what she thought they would be. My listings state returns are only accepted if there is an error in the listing. If you do not mention smoking in your description, do not, I repeat do not, douse the items with perfume. Trying to fool the buyer. The smoke smell is bad enough, and does not disappear. I had a buyer email me a little while ago, and ask me to send the item to his cousin in Nigeria, and he would pay the $100 to have it shipped. I emailed him back and politely told him no, and that it was stated in my auction that I did not ship outside the US. Prohibited from selling an item because it apparently ran afoul of the medical and prescription items policy. Yet I *repeatedly* see these same items listing and closing successfully. I have had not quite endless arguments with T&S about these, about the fact that thier policy was (and probably still is) unclear, and about the fact that other sellers of the same exact item are ignored.
