Hi, so I recently bought an item a couple weeks ago which was ~$130 ($150 with shipping). I have insurance from paying via PayPal, and the tracking number for the package (via USPS) also indicates that the package is insured. I received the tracking number over the weekend, and the status was: "The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on November 8, 2009 to expect your package for mailing. I don't know what to do. I sold a item for $50.00 (no insurance as per eBay) . The buyer said she did not receive the item but the delivery confirmation says it was delivered. I believe her. I'm trying to find the best Insurer to use when shipping with USPS. I was letting my buyers choose if they wanted to insure their items or not on most items. Many buyers of the higher priced or fragile items chose insurance so I wasn't too concerned. This has changed with the new policy and so now I need to to find the best way handle this. The Optional Insurance Description I added - not responsible for lost in shipping $1.50 Insurance - I felt protected me against Buyers saying it was not received and it really was.
