I do not plan to post a hint or tip-a-day, but I hope others will drop in from time to time and leave a few pearls of wisdom. Kick-off Tip: Use keywords. Seldom do I use the title or author’s name in the 45-space title unless it is a collectible or has a famous illustrator. Usually I use a string of keywords. Sometimes the keywords come easily and other times they are not as obvious. I group by theme as much as possible, both to attract the multiple buyers and to ‘expand’ on the...

CNN article about American Airlines charging $8.00 dollars for a pillow and blanket. You get to keep the blow up pillow and fleece piece. Linky Link I answered the CNN poll as a No because I hadn't read the article that says the buyer gets to keep the items. It doesn't say how the pillow is inflated. Does anyone know? Taking into consideration the pandemic issues, would you really want to be on a plane where people are blowing their lungs out into a pillow that they might empty...

My cat bit me, tonight, while I was being nice and loving to him. Then I took this test, you see. Favorite colors test shows CEOs are different; take the test Link I'm still mad at the cat, and it will be quite some time before I will trust him again. And while the test pretty well pegged me, nowhere did it mention bookseller in my Best Occupational Categories. Have been dabbling in bookselling for about 1 year now. I do tend to sell more on Amazon and only list on Ebay what I know WILL SELL. I started selling books as a complete novice without much knowledge in the field. I made several mistakes along the way, which made for good learning experiences. I do still consider myself to have about 1% of the knowledge I need to make a living at this!! I have avoided buying a scanner in the hopes of educating myself as much as possible prior to. I do...

. Which classic work of literature should be turned into a game next? We've had Dante's Inferno, how about Piers Plowman? So, EA's [Electronic Arts] epic literary hack-n-slasher is out today, and already Dante's Inferno producer Jonathan Knight has his heart set on a conversion of Macbeth. Shakespeare's bloody tragedy certainly has plenty of videogame boxes ticked - an imposing Gothic castle, a murderous noble and his insane wife, a battle sequence, some witches... But...

So, I have few C16th works that are due for the binder - with some water-staining to edges. They're currently well margined, and all annotation is far from the fore-edge. The decision I'm trying to make is whether to trim, and thus remove most of the staining, or not to trim, and thus preserve the large margins..... Comments?

. A hauntingly magical story By Mehr Tarar The God of Small Things By Arundhati Roy Penguin Books The secret of great stories is that they have no secrets. Great stories are the ones you have heard and want to hear again. The ones you can enter anywhere and inhabit comfortably. They don’t deceive you with thrills and trick endings. John Patrick Murtha Jr. was born June 17, 1932, in New Martinsville, W.Va., and raised in Westmoreland County, Pa. He long credited the resilient women in his family, including his mother, as key to his success in life. His father, an alcoholic, died early. Murtha said he didn't drink for that reason, and despite the many political fundraisers where the congressman is either honored guest or host, Murtha was known for making an early appearance and an early departure. Or, maybe it wasn't so scarce. Well, there's 9 minutes, so anticipate it won't sell. The book was Shannon by Elizabeth Morrow. I saw the same book listed either on Abe or ebay, can't remember for sure which place, but it was $100.00. It was first printing with dj. I thought by listing it at about 1/4 I would have some interest. Is it just not an interesting book for collectors? Or, should I have listed it lower? Any help would be appreciated. I normally don't relist books. Thanks
