Hi everyone.
I have an old Greiner Doll. She has the painted eyes and leather body.
Body is in great shape, very clean.
It's her face. It is very dirty and/or discolored. Looks to be it toned? or just darkened. Not a China head.
Original clothes are in great shape, but dusty, and I know from prior experience not to wash them. Will probably disintegrate, lol.
Is there something I can use to clean up her face?
Sorry I can't get pic's to post. Thanks in advance.

Personally, I would let it be. Most early papier mache dolls have some wear, etc, consider it her badge of honor . It's a bit difficult giving advice about a doll I can't see.

Thanks mouseshy.
It just seems like maybe someone shellacked(?) over some dirt or grime. A bit of a shiny finish on it.
Shame, cause her face paint is perfect.
I was drawn to Her "witches fingers", LOL!!!
