The cashier tells me Ebay Shipping Tape is not Allowed.
That she will let it go this time but not to use it next time.
It was not the first time I had this problem.
Because of that reason I go to another Post Office.
The other Post Office no problem.
This time I told the cashier that she was wrong.
She has a very nasty attitude but that is another topic.
I am not a new seller.
So she got the manager of the Post Office.
The manager knows me but she agreed with the cashier.
I told the manager I am not here to make trouble.
Just that, you should be informed that Ebay tape is allowed.
I am sure I am not the only seller around my area that have to deal
with being told not in a nice way that Ebay shipping tape is not allowed.
I was told it is because it is advertising Ebay on the tape.
Manager is a really nice person I do not have any problems with her.
Just how can I prove that Ebay shipping tape is allowed?

That makes no sense. You could speak with the post master of that location or try to call or email someone from USPS website. If you ship USPS using priority, you can order Free (Online USPS Store) USPS Priority stickers in a roll that can be used to seal USPS priority boxes.
I have heard USPS not allowing certain boxes that have advertising or specific titles for shipping. (Alcohol boxes ect. )
Good luck and would love to know if you get any feedback from the PostMaster.

If your using any USPS Priority Flat rate shipping boxes or envelopes from USPS you will not be able to use eBay shipping tape, only clear tape is allowed. If your using a personal cardboard box you can use eBay shipping tape. Same with FedEx and UPS boxes that are labeled, only clear tape allowed.

That's odd. I use the eBay tape with the multi-colored logo all the time. (As a matter of fact, my packages look like they fell off the back of a circus truck.) I've never, ever had one disallowed. I do choose carrier pickup, though, so no counter clerks...

What is posted here is correct. I have been working with USPS for a while and they have specific rules regarding Priority packaging. Any boxes with Priority labeling must not include any other branding on the box. Clear tape only. And the correct label applied. (for flat rate boxes and mailers)
Also any ground only shipments (like items with lithium batteries) cannot use Priority Mail shipping. There are a lot of rules regarding use of Priority Mail.

Now if you are shipping using your own packaging and its not branded for the shipping service you are using, then they are out of line with not wanting you to have eBay on the package.

I'm not trying to be argumentative but where is it stated that priority mail is "clear tape" only? (That also seems to imply that one can't even use priority tape on a priority box, which makes NO sense!)
Please copy and paste the prohibition portion that disallows the use of ebay or any other tape.

That one confused me as well. The meat of my shipments are GA, but I use eBay branded tape on Priority, too. 😕

For International packages...paper tape is only allowed per my post office.

You might be confusing international packages in general with registered mail specifically.
Registered Mail must be sealed with glue, plain paper tape, or cloth tape; the tape must absorb ink and must visibly damage the envelope or wrapper if removed
Regular packages traveling internationally can use any standard shipping tape @12345jamesstamps .

Again, "my post office"....not confused.
We can all read what is printed out there...however, not every post office follows the rules of the road.

If you're saying your post office will not let you use regular clear packing tape on international packages (boxes, large envelopes, polymailers, etc) then your post office should be reported. That's not following with the USPS DMM.
If you are shipping registered mail (not a package) internationally, then see my post above.
