Welcome to the annual NFL football pick'em thread! It's named in honor of its longtime
host (first on TownSquare, then the Soapbox) nanapong (Rick). This thread is a continuation
of one begun several months ago, and we're about in the middle of the NFL season. Just over.
Even so, new players are welcome! It's unlikely that a new player could win the overall
competition, since the trophy is awarded to the player who has accumulated the highest
total of correct picks--but playing for the best score in an individual week is still fun
and absolutely encouraged. How's your football acumen?

winners, whatever. But please make your choices very clear.

Give it a try! The more the merrier. You really don't need to know much about
football--the favorites are readily available, and they often win.
