Hello markc66647, My name is Kord and I am the Customer Experience Manager for SquareTrade. The listing in question states that the item was used, and being sold "As-Is". Under our previous Warranty Administrator, "As Is" items were considered ineligible for coverage. Generally speaking, we identify eligible items by the item category, as well as the item description fields (Make, Model, Features, Condition) provided by eBay. This item was described as being in "Used" condition, making it eligible for coverage. However, the portion of text indicating that the item was being sold "As Is" was included in what appears to be a seller template, uploaded into the item description section - this section is not readable by the mechanism we utilize to post our "Warranty Available" icon. From what you have described, when you contacted us regarding your item, we reviewed the listing, determined that the item was ineligible and offered a full refund of the warranty purchase price. I do apologize for the confusion and would be happy to address any additional questions or concerns you may have. Please feel free to contact me directly at kordhelps@squaretrade.com. Regards, Kord (SquareTradeKord) Customer Experience Manager SquareTrade
