Since the new page I have gotten firefox-mozilla because wasn't seeing with int. expl.Updated jave,deleted temp files and cookies.Checked internet provider and Dell.Even when I write a description for a item I sell I can't read my own desc.let alone anything else I try to view.Everything else is seen and bidding and selling isn't affected if you don't mind bidding without the sellers desc.Actually I contacted the seller and they have e-mailed me the descip.E-bay says now it might probably be an issue with them for a small # of users.Any Help,please?

I'm having the same trouble except I can see the item description using ie, but I use firefox.

I have been having a problem with the size missing on some of my auctions. Unless it is what you are saying that I just can't see it.

Do you have McAfee anti-virus? If so, you need to disable the ad-blocker.

No mcafee or or any blockers. The thing is just going nuts, I think they are doing a system update and trying to change stuff so it always messes up everything else.

Cant see item description. Its been like this for the last 4 or 5 days. Tried all the advice given by ebay including mozilla download. Nothing is working. Now I find Ebays telephone number which was displayed on my ebay page has dissappeared!! Dont feel I can bid without this necessary info.

Is Ebay listening!!!!

I discovered this glitch and it is pretty disturbing and has a very damaging impact on my profits.

I received a question about auction 260458989464 that concerned information that was shown and described in the auction. After some back and forth I realized the potential bidder was NOT seeing my entire description. This person was using Firefox. They wrote on 8/11-
You asked what I was seeing. I was seeing your listing, but it ENDED without much of any description, and definitely without the thumbnails. Just one image (above in the left corner). (user whistler99)

I then contacted a previous winner who had left me a soft positive suspecting the same thing had happened to them. Auction 360171413421 ran from July 17 to 27. This person did not tell me what browser they were using. They replied-
8/11 hi, no i did not see all that you have described, i only had one pic, and it looked lavendar, not wine, but i had read your description and new that actual color, and the description was very short & sweet, not to much explaination, i hope this helps, (user frugalflamingo)

SO apparently some members are seeing only partial descriptions/images.
I don't know how long this has been happening and I can't imagine how many people
decided not to bid because ebay was not displaying my full auction info.
I am just livid at the thought of bids I was denied because of an ebay glitch.

Ever since Ebay started this tabbed description I have been having problems seeing a lot of them
What I have been seeing a lot of lately is;
1. Huge maybe multi page blank screen under the description tab

2. Tiny ONE LINE scrollable box with the description in and if seller uses large font it is totally unreadable also I have not found a way to enlarge the box.

note I have tried these in firefox and IE with the same results Of course Ebay always says it isn't their fault it must be your computer.

I have also read on these groups that Ebay is now incompatible with several Internet providers
now isn't that interesting
could it be that IP's are now tired of Ebay's bandwidth hogging trash and are now filtering it?
I for one wouldn't be surprised as I have been filtering some with ad block and flashblock for years.

how does Ebay feel about it well the following pretty much covers that

I emailed my current bidders to ask if they were seeing the entire description. Just got this back ...

I see this a lot - though not all the time (using the same Mozilla browser on the same computer). I get a description box that's about an inch high.

I suggest anyone seeing/experiencing this issue report it to ebay.
Unless enough people bring it to their attention they will do nothing to fix it.

Sellers are not getting bids, buyers are missing out on items they want.
A lose, lose situation.

I'm thinking it has to do with ebay's choice of layout - putting descriptions in iframes. Some browsers don't support iframes, some security products block them, some anti-advertising stuff blocks them also. I've checked with multiple versions of firefox and seamonkey - no problems for me.

When you guys mention you're having a problem and using 'some browser' your browser or emailing ebay saying it doesn't work, please include the version number with your browser info. You can usually find that under the "help" menu item - about some-browser-program-name.

I've been seeing a lot of the one-line scroll-bar description windows, but when I refresh the page, the full description becomes available again.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of casual users who don't even know about refreshing pages, and others who can't be bothered, so lots of our items are going unseen.

I wonder if it is mainly for items that have self-hosted embedded photos in the html description - a little conspiracy theory beginning in my brain.
